Matthew Mole Debuts at No. 1 on iTunes

Who is Matthew Mole you may ask? He’s a 21 year old Singer/Songwriter from Fish Hoek, Cape Town who’s debut album The Home We Built  made chart history on Monday by becoming the first South African to have an album enter the iTunes chart at No. 1.

The Cape Town native beat off stiff competition from international superstars  Jay Z, The Rolling Stones, Michael Buble and Robin Thicke as well as the world’s biggest compilation series ‘NOW: That’s What I Call Music’ including local Dj/Producer Dj Kent who launched his album “Weekent” this past weekend (see what he did there?)

The album is already attracting international attention resulting in Matthew receiving acknoledgements from both the UK & US but he was rather modest when asked about his reaction to his milestone saying “It was such an amazing thing to see the album at No.1 on the morning of its release, all thanks to the overwhelming support received from everyone! It’s great to know that people are loving the album.”
