[MOVIE REVIEW]Iron Man 3
Marvel’s “Iron Man 3” pits brash-but-brilliant industrialist Tony Stark/Iron Man against an enemy whose reach knows no bounds. When Stark finds his personal world destroyed at his enemy’s hands, he embarks on a harrowing quest to find those responsible. This journey, at every turn, will test his mettle. With his back against the wall, Stark is left to survive by his own devices, relying on his ingenuity and instincts to protect those closest to him. As he fights his way back, Stark discovers the answer to the question that has secretly haunted him: does the man make the suit or does the suit make the man?
What I liked
The little boy in me always has & always will love superhero movies & Ironman is no different because one his powers is Tony Stark’s incredibly sharp wit & dry sense of humour so one of the highlights is the brilliant script writing of Shane Black, who also directs the movie. This movie is less about the suit & more about the man so we get to experience Robert Downing Jr’s brilliant acting. The special effects have been top class since the first movie & they take it to another level with one particularly the big fight at the end.
What I didn’t like
Ironman 3 is suppose to be the aftermath of the Avengers hence the reason for Tony Stark’s multiple anxiety attacks throughout the movie but the plot from Avengers to Ironman 3 wasn’t properly developed. The acting of 12 year old Ty Simpkins who plays Harley was a bit akward at times in the movie. Finally the ending is not what fans hoped it would be and will probably leave you with more questions than answers like why didn’t they let Pepper Pots keep her newly acquired powers?
I’m pretty sure the movie wasn’t one of the highest grossing of the year for no reason but personally I found the movie to be a big anti-climax but that’s probably because I’m such a staunch fan! But I would recommend it to someone who hasn’t been following the franchise.
